What do you mean by “us”? Humans from a different planet or us as the actual player? When I read your analysis, I thought it seemed like Bungie was going to break the (5th plane I think we refer it to? Whatever it’s called where the in game characters reference the player outside the game) kind of how that one invitation of the Nine referenced the actual player.
