The Thing is the single best example of horror cinema. I can't understand how any genuine fan of horror or cinema in general could possibly consider it a 6/10. You're gonna need to further explain why exactly you dislike the ending and what about the Blood Test scene confused you. Because both of those are Top 10 horror movie scene contenders.

Nothing confused me about the blood test scene, I didn't even talk about it in my post? I mean the blood sabotage scene, the test scene was really damn good. The thing is (hehe haha) that I'd need to watch the movie over and over to catch all the little details in making to solve the mystery of the ending. I liked how you could solve the movie bit by bit at the start, but at the end it's kinda jarring to need to go back to solve something that has no need to be solved. The Thing is a very solid standalone movie, and I won't be watching any sequels or prequels or whatever was made after it, but the ending feels incomplete even if the movie has all the hints in it.

The ending is open to interpretation because of the FEELING the film set up all the way through, that feeling of mistrust, that something is wrong... not so much because of the hints. It's purely a standalone film. Regardless, I still don't see how the ending is incomplete, except in the way it's open to interpretation. Edit: spelling.
