First off ratking is a sidearm, not a hand cannon, secondly, if you haven't played forsaken yet... Then you are in an alternate reality where cayde is still alive and clucking.

Oh my bad, a sidearm an awesome sidearm from what I've seen, but I asked if because I finished the game without doing enemy of my enemy side quest till now did I miss the chance to get it due to the first step requires you to finish a specific patrol given by cade in the EDZ and he's dead I did all the patrols with a fireteam and zero progress towards the quest.
