For all of my Monster Hunter World players, I have a question for you...
What weapon class do you main? Just curious.

I main several (both bowguns, insect glaive, hammer, longsword and greatsword). But my favorites are the heavy bowgun, hammer and insect glaive. I recommend learning multiple weapons as it helps in adapting to monsters and some monsters are better suited to kill with a certain weapon type (does not mean other weapons can't kill it, but some are just better for that monster) And learn the clutch claw wall slam(clutch claw in general is really good) , it is nasty.

6 RepliesDual blades are the closest to fast attacking it seems in that game, so I haven't tried anything else. I'm a fan of fast action, like dmc. So monster Hunter have me one choice lol. Still love it though

I main hammer. Gunlance is a close second, but I could never say no to bashing in a monster's face.

I mainly use hammer, bow, longsword, charge blade, and insect Glaive. Hammer is my favorite though. Need a horn from this monster? I gotchu fam.

Lance never needed to try anything else

I main the Gunlance, and it is -blam!-ing awesome, they buffed the thing significantly and now things go boom all the time. Sword and Shield is my off weapons, for those monsters that do not mesh well with Gunlance. I also play the Horn, some Bow and I am dabbling in Switchaxe.
