Bring back faction vendors
In the link attached to this post, KackisHD makes a good point about vendors and the issues that we are currently seeing from D1 to D2. I really enjoyed in D1, feeling like every vendor had something different to offer every week.
Another thing I feel should be implemented back in is exotic class items. I enjoyed the grind of pledging my allegiance to new monarchy, to about 25 I believe, in order to get an exotic class item that looked absolutely gorgeous. Also earning experience towards my factions from everything in the game was amazing! It made me want to grind more. If we could have that back in some variation with Shadowkeep to keep people constantly playing. I think that would be a welcomed addition into the community.

This is already missing from the first page of trending? Seriously? This is by far the most needed change out of anything else on there.

All of D2's vendors are still mostly stuck in year one. I bet they get reworked over the course of the next year. Their inventories are all seriously out of place in the current game.

It blows my mind that we are almost two years into D2’s lifecycle and Shaxx and Zavala are still just sitting around twiddling their thumbs every week with the same offering of gear. *edit to correct a spelling mistake

I remember one time when Future War Cult was selling a Rocket Launcher with 3 rockets in the magazine, Tracking Missiles and Cluster Bombs. People went crazy on the Forums, the were threads about it every where. Or also when Dead Orbit brought a god-roll Auto-Rifle. Every week there was something good to get and try...

Factions should return to their state in d1, no one ever asked about faction rally or the weapon reward thing.

D1 had many issues and problems. Factions and vendors was not one of them and should have never been meddled with.

No problem, we’re introducing a whole new armor 2.0 that will fix that faction rally issue. You will be able to grind and earn your prized armor not once, not twice, but yes everyone for a third time! Same, but different, but really the same. And just wait, we are very intuitive and watchful of our players feedback and take all players time o investment seriously! So with that said, we want to fix factions and make it the best. Thus, we are introducing a new quest with a large grind where you can earn this new amazing gear called solstice of hero’s with glowy stuff, same, but different, but the same. Want Factions back? Here at Bungie we listen and are going to offer new weapons called “weapons 3.0” where you can earn the Last Word, Whisper, and Ace of Spades for a 3rd time! We know you love these weapons and so with 3.0 we will let you color them with shaders. But wait, we will also add a new quest for outbreak prime 3.0 that now gives you green nanites! Why is Bungie so silent on factions. Nothing has done more to give players an RPG "purpose" in the game more than factions. Choosing the Drifter or Zavala is a poor attempt at giving us what we've really wanted - pledging to a faction and keeping it. Pledging to Dead Orbit, FWC, or New Monarchy was what gave us what little choice we could get. It gave us a team to root for. It gave us something to rep.

They took away two activities/events and have made no intention of returning them, but also developing new content. Replacing what was removed should take priority over creating new content. I do think this is Bungie being petty though, they know they could bring them back as they were in d1, but they seem to be determined not to do this.

They wont even compromise and let us choose between weapon or armor piece for our faction/planetary rank-ups.

The problem is Eververse. That's why they don't see a need to flesh out the other vendors, they won't make clink from doing that (forgetting the fact that keeping your customer base happy will lead to more interest in your product and consequently more money being spent).

Faction rallies was bad but why not leave factions as they were in D1? Just let us choose one and level up as we complete bounties, and complete any game activity while pledged to one faction. Maybe throw a special bounty or mission here and there to bump up some levels. It really makes no sense to remove content on the basis of it “needing rework”. It was fine as it was in D1! We even had an exotic class item as reward for reaching a certain rank! Why is that gone from D2? Makes no sense to me.

The main issue with bringing this back that people seem to be ignoring is D1 had more weapons, weapon perks and more perks could roll on weapons even exotics had random perks...D2 would circle through to god rolls very quickly unless the vendor only offered up 1 or 2 weapons a week.
