Because you lost. When you win, you gain points and when you lose, you lose points.
If you are trying to win, why are you playing solo? A personal acheivement? You put yourself in a big disadvantage, no communication, no team work, you don't know if everyone on your team wants to win, potentially bad players, and random matchmaking issues.
When I want to win, I play in a team. You can communicate, make sure everyone has good guns, everyone wants to win and you can work as a team.
Many solo players have made it to Fabled. However, you need to be decently skilled and have lots of patience for random issues. If you don't have that, probably shouldn't try solo in a team based activity.

I do fine in Pvp and usually average the top of my team. I appreciate your response but, I’m talking about the fact that even when my team is doing well. We sometimes have a teammate that quits mid game. I’m not putting the blame on the player as I don’t know their life but why am I being penalized as well?

Because you chose random team mates. If you choose your team mates, you can make sure you are all on the same page and want to win. Youre skill probably needs to be a bit better so you can carry your team 3v4 if you want to solo queue.

Quitting teammates are not always at fault them selves it could also be caused by power outages or poor connection. Which has also happened. I understand where you are coming from but this is not my problem with the game. My problem is being put at a massive disadvantage with factors Im not physically capable of changing and still being penalized. I get how being “good at the game” can be seen as a way to ignore the problem but I’m not a professional nor do I aspire to be one. And most of the community aren’t gods either.
