(Glad you could join us) *As you walk you enter a rather nice neighborhood. Actually, what was. Everything is coated in webs and thick fog*

I shine my helmet’s flashlight around

*You see houses that are dirty and damp. The fog is unnaturally heavy and has damaged the buildings. Webs cover everything. You do notice a single spider crawling away from you, behind one of the houses*

I activate my active camouflage, and try to observe the spider

*The spider scuttles underneath a house.*

I check the surrounding area before shining my light under the house

*Just fog and webs. The house has a basement window that you shine through, but you don't hear or see any movement.*

I scan for life signs
-
*Nothing. The spider went through and out the back it seems.*

Cautiously, I follow the spider

*Behind the houses is an alley. Scholar Mind just lit a bunch of houses on fire so you might want to get out of there.*

Noticing the smoke, i begin to retreat to the open.

*You retreat to the road to find Scholar goading the flames. The homing beacon sends one last ping before falling silent. Last known location is about 12 houses down. The fire is moving fast. Might wanna hurry.*

I rush to his last known location

*He's at the last house on the block. Across the street is the school. The fire is catching up*

I teleport to the house

*You arrive in front of the house. The fire hasn't reached here yet. It appears like any other house. Dirty and unoccupied.*

I enter, and begin searching for him

*Kitchen, dining room, living room, attic or basement.*

I quickly check the kitchen

*Nothing. Someone had mac n cheese not too long ago but its empty.*

I decide to do another scan for life signs

*You find two in the living room. One matches Sumpig. The other is alien and large.*

I activate my sword, and enter the room

(Well crap.) *A massive spider stabs you in the leg with her leg, the proceeds to lift you up and web your legs.* *She is holding Sumpig with two other legs. He is now crazy and cocooned*
