How many people missed the Aldren awakening video? I almost did
Who goes to see the Queen now? Not me since I got the lore title
Unless you watch a YouTuber or constantly are reading Destiny news, you will miss stuff and that is wasted development $. How many hours did it take animators to make that cutscene? What is their hourly wage? Even if it is only 30 seconds, Bungie just spent money and development time on something 90% of the players missed.
What about Xur selling One eyed mask with enhanced hand cannon targeting 2 weeks ago? I only got it because I happen to like Houndish and I'm addicted to Destiny since D1 day 1. I couldn't play for almost all of July and I'm sure I missed out on stuff.

You have to suspect seeing moves like this that supporting the sick symbiosis with the “content creator” ecosystem is deemed more important than player/staff welfare.

I dont think you understand. Bungie is planning on making content seasonal, once that season is over the activities and reward are gone. The rewards MIGHT come back into the loot pool for other activities but i doubt that. Basically its going pay to win. So its not something like a stupid cutscene that nobody cares about (i missed it, yay youtube), and a helm (especially with the already garbage armor 2.0 coming) hes talking about missing entire content and gear that he already paid for.
