Don't blow your load on the first thing you see and you'll be fine. Nothing in eververse is a necessity. It's all cosmetic. There will be more 2.0 armor in a month, this solstice event is meh. Farm up resources, or get left behind when the mmo style and pace end game kicks in.

The entire point is that you would have been able to just earn these cosmetics, every single last one of them, through just playing the game long enough, had they been included in Bright Engrams like they were before. It was an alright system, players were rewarded for their time invested, but it wasn't making Bungie enough money, so it had to be changed, and it has been changed in a way that makes it objectively worse than it was before. That's the entire point.
-
False. The entire point is, literally everyone in the community was ass hurt about the eververse system and complained about it nonstop day in day out on the forums. Bungie tried something different this season, and said they would adjust it based on feedback. Bungie tried, the casuals still complain.
-
Is this really the best argument your feeble mind could come up with? You're defending a system where players can no longer earn everything in a season just by playing the game. What an ignoramus you are. And then you wonder why your post got downvoted into oblivion hahahaha. Take that as a hint.
-
The community complained about eververse and how it was prior to the update. Bungie stated they were trying a new system and would adjust it based on feedback. The community complained about the new system. It will get changed. Eververse is purely cosmetic and does nothing for the game itself. It could be removed completely and have zero impact on the game and it's current state. Those who fail to realize that, truly are just complaining for the sake of complaints. You sit here and type some quick names and insults on a keyboard. You're more than likely a casual player who either leaves when the game has a drought.... Or lurks forums just to start shit with everyone that is available. You stated an altered version of what I had said, then got defensive and started name calling when you got blasted for being incorrect. Yet I'm the idiot.... Ok bud.
The community complained about the new system. It will get changed.
Bungie will change the name of Bright Dust to better reflect its usage, like how they changed Masterwork Cores to Enhancement Cores. It'll be changed to Grind Dust. There's their fix lmao. Comedy aside, you've again failed to refute the fact that this system is objectively worse than the previous system, in that players can no longer earn all of the seasonal items through dedicated playtime. It's a system that takes away an option that players previously had, in order to sell microtransactions. Since you've failed to refute this for the second time in a row, this means I win. You lose, good sir. Have a nice day.

The “it’s just cosmetic” argument is a joke. Since when did people become fine with paying for gear in a full priced AAA game? I Remember when cosmetics were expected to be free because you already payed $60 damn dollars to buy the game.

Edited by BoogaSuga: 8/1/2019 12:31:52 PMI never said buy it. I said it's just a cosmetic. As in, if you don't get it the world won't end. People have some weird obsession with cosmetics..... The entire eververse store is useless from a useful stand point of the game. But hey. Over exaggerate and stretch the words out in any way you'd like to justify your need to be right. Bungie could remove eververse and people would still -blam!- about it.
-
By your logic literally everything in the game except exotics and weapons are useless. Hell, why doesn’t Bungie paywall all the armor we used to get from regular gameplay since technically it’s “not needed” and instead we could just have 1 set of bland legendary armor because hey, it’s not the end of the world if players don’t get to customize their character in a full price looter shooter.
-
False. Armor can be obtained from other sources than eververse. Legendary armor can be obtained from patrol spaces, raids, crucible, vanguard activities, Gambit, Gambit prime, etc. The purpose it to give diversity. Eververse is a supplemental cash shop. Designed to bring in extra cash flow for exchange of seasonal items that are cosmetic. One is needed for growth, the other is to supplement income. Business. You tried.
-
False. There is absolutely no difference between planetary, raid, vanguard, or any sets. The only sets that actually affect gameplay are the Gambit Prime sets. They don't provide raid perks, they don't affect any kind of drops, nothing about your gameplay experience would change if Bungie decided to paywall every Legendary Armor armor set and replace their drops with a single, bland set of armor. You say the purpose is to give "diversity" when in the last season just about every new set of armor has been a reskin of an old set or from Year 1. It's an excuse for Bungie to cut corners on the gear obtainable from regular gameplay and to put all their effort into ever verse gear.
The “it’s just cosmetic” argument is a joke.
Especially given that all the event rewards brought to the table are cosmetic. It's sad that everything new to the event is an eververse item except the armor grind and a sparrow. :( Takes all the fun out of opening any of the solstice packages. What's the point?
The “it’s just cosmetic” argument is a joke. Since when did people become fine with paying for gear in a full priced AAA game? I Remember when cosmetics were expected to be free because you already payed $60 damn dollars to buy the game.
This. People have either lost there minds, are careless with there money, or getting money handed to them or from there parents. Many many people have well over $100 into destiny 2. How is anything going on in season 7/solstice of hero's ok? Eververse has turned into a full blown cash shop.

Eververse has definitely gotten worse. When it first came out in what....TTK? The April UPdate of TTK? my group of friends and I felt very uncomfortable about the whole thing. It is sad to see how bloated it has become.
