Short list of guns I will never acquire because PvE quests are boring as hell:
Mida Multi Tool
Polaris Lance
Rat King
Legend of Acrius
Outbreak Perfected
And that's not even including the non-quest stuff I'll never get:
Literally all of the stupid prophecy weapons
Worldline Zero
Any Ikelos weapon
Sleeper Stimulant
Reckoning Gear
Any Nightfall exclusive
Forge Weapons (and armor.)
Tarrabah
Anarchy
Raid gear (no enhanced perks for me)
A ton of catalysts
I'd say it's pretty fair.

Outbreak perfected was quite fun to obtain IMO, plus it has a very unique and cool perk. It's a fun weapon/viable weapon to use in pvp and pve.
-
Destiny is a primarily pve game, it is not fortnite
-
Funny you'd say that since Fortnite is originally a PvE game and the bulk of the game is in PvE. Literally only supports my argument here.

Edited by gamerjolt90: 7/4/2019 8:21:23 PMYou must be an idiot, if you look up fortnite it will only mostly lead to the battle royale mode. No one really plays save the world. Most people don't even purchase save the world
-
Lol. It takes like 45 minutes to get Mida.
-
Would be a waste of 45 minutes.
-
I get your point but pvp players have to do the pve stuff so that pve people can get all smug when they look at Destiny Tracker stats. At the very least you should be farming for a bramd new Dust Rock just to get the pve numbers up. ;)
-
this game is based on PvE and besides rose isn’t going to be PvP weapon.
-
Didn't mention Rose at all and the game isn't "based" on anything. It has both PvE and PvP elements. Neither is more "Destiny" than the other.
-
I bet without PvE this game won’t last longer than a months. on the other hand PvP has so many problems that can’t be fixed by Bungie anymore.
-
This game wouldn't last long without either game mode. They're both established parts of the game and removing either would kill a large chunk of the player base.
-
I was with you until you said outbreak perfected. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything more wrong in my life. That quest is about the most fun you can have in destiny 2
-
I didn't do the full quest, fetching 6 nodes from around the solar system sounds pretty boring.
-
Umm why do you even play this game? Seems like you think all things PvE is boring.
-
Same reason that over 75% of players never go into a raid or pvp.
-
I don't think all PvE is boring, I think that all PvE has very little replayability. I got Whisper because it was actually something different. I'm not getting raid stuff because I don't have a team and I can't be -blam!-ed to do lfg. I'm not doing Prophecy weapons because farming public events isn't fun. PvE is pretty good the first time around but when most PvE quests are just fetch quests and "go do x activity x amount of times," I get bored. Crucible at least is challenging.
-
To be fair destiny 2 has an entire pvp mode which is pretty fun, albeit horribly balanced.
-
If you’re only into PvP, there are far better options than Destiny.
-
Not if you like a halo style pvp. Halo is dead and buried. Even though crucible is pretty busted it’s still really fun.
-
Saying Destiny is like Halo is the same as saying CoD is like Quake.
-
Edited by Zaegan: 7/2/2019 4:00:08 AMMaybe so, but it’s the closest you’re gonna get. Destiny is infinitely closer to halo than COD.
-
Well that’s good for them I only do Crucible when there’s something I want but never for fun.
-
There’s only two difficult things in destiny. Finding competent teammates and killing other guardians. Everything else is pretty easy. When you want a challenge crucible is about the only place to find it unless you do those crazy handicap runs of raids and whatnot.
