Welp, I'm late to another story...oh well I guess, I guess I'll get the next one if I even get the chance.

Believe it or not, you aren’t late. You can still join up.
-
Really!? What parts are still available?
-
Literally all of them.
I tend not to limit others unless it’s OAFL-related, in case you haven’t noticed.
Edited by StoneFlare21: 6/14/2019 9:47:25 PMHmmm...which ones do I have the likelier chance of surviving any dangers in the story (since so many people will die)? Also can the trainees have powers as well, or is it only the villagers?
-
Trainees will have affinities, although theirs are less trained. This is why they’re in training. There’s not really a specific role that will guarantee survival. I suppose the best shot is if you pick a Trainee, but I’m not making any promises.

Edited by StoneFlare21: 6/14/2019 10:15:01 PMAlright I'll go Trainee then. Name: Ichiro Personality: Fun loving trickster, clever and cunning, loves to pull pranks on elders and fellow villagers, really close to a few of the more light hearted students, kind of chaotic-good. Most of the time he's happy, but he remains semi-serious during battle (would occassionally make fun of the enemy during battle given circumstances that weren't serious). Gender: Male Race/Looks: Half-Elf, pale, shaggy dark brown hair that is usually kept in a tight pony tail by the elders but would untie it when they aren't around, left eye is blue and the right eye is yellow, and has brown freckles on his face. Role: Trainee Affinity: Ice

Nice, I like it! Love the name, too, you’re sticking around for longer than most!
-
Also, I had a thought. Now keep in mind, this is your story and you don't have to use this, but I was thinking that since my character will be sticking around longer I was thinking that since this is a tragic story, maybe he slowly becomes more depressed and stressed, and his jokes and pranks become more cynical and serious. Until something really tragic happens to him (which a lot of things might, since he could be a very tragic character) and at that point he just breaks. From that point on he could become a villain who uses deadly traps and is very psychotic (now this is way too similar to the Joker, so you can change him up or kill him however you want, I just wanted to say this as a thought for my character).
-
I might do that path of depression thing, I’m not sure. If he survives the initial wave of deaths, then yeah, I’ll probably have him slowly spiraling into depression and deprecation.
-
Sure thing man, sounds fine, just my thoughts on his character development, you don't need to feel pressured to do anything I thought of and you can do something entirely different if you want to.
-
Edited by StoneFlare21: 6/14/2019 10:26:04 PMThank you. I'll be following the series closely. Also I'll be honest I have trouble coming up with Japanese names, so I got the name from google and found it on a website, but it's still a good name nonetheless,
-
Bleach much?
-
🤣, I never watched Bleach, so I had no idea that this was a name from the series. I just personally thought it was a cool name and chose it for my character.
-
The name isn’t exact, but it’s really similar...
-
Oh okay, I googled the name that's similar in Bleach and the name itself is really similar, lol.
-
Good ol’ Ichigo. Slicing demons open since he was 15..,
-
I never seen the series, only heard minor details about it, but isn't he sort of dead or a demon himself?
-
In a way. I won’t spoil anything in case you ever want to watch the show. It’s a really good anime on the level of the OG’s like One Piece and Naruto.
-
Hm, I'll look into it. I haven't seen much anime (apart from MHA and One Punch man), I have a list of recommendations from a friend of mine but the trick is finding the right time to binge some of them.
-
Oh god. You watched MHA? Jesus Christ that anime is a shitshow.
-
Yeah, I found it very cringey (like most shounen anime), so at least One punch man got it out of my system a bit. I'm still on the hunt for quality anime so wish me luck.
-
One Punch Man is great. Tell Lee you watched that, and he’ll love you. Good luck on your hunt man.
-
Thanks, I'm gonna need it. If you have any recommendations let me know. And I'll make sure to tell Lee that I watched it, I'm still waiting for the second season to finish so I can binge it all in one go.
-
I mean, start with the classics first so the veterans don’t laugh at you. Stuff like Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, that sort of thing. Then if you like those ones, you can start moving into the newer ones and see what you like. Also, don’t touch Sword Art Online. Or do, if you want a brain tumor.

Thanks for the recommendations, I think that FMA is on Netflix so I'll look into checking that out first. I heard interesting things about One piece, and it's somewhat similar to a story I've been working on so I'll go there next. My friend also recommended Fairy Tale, so I'm interesting in seeing that later.
