Enhancement Cores need to be removed from Infusion. Those that say “they’re easy to get” aren’t in our shoes and aren’t experiencing the headache that it is. Also Leveling/Progression should NEVER be a grind in a SHOOTER LOOTER!!! The goal of the game is grind for LOOT and END GAME CONTENT like Raids, Nightfalls Exotic Quests etc etc. Diablo 3 you don’t have to grind for Levels, in BL you don’t grind for Levels to get to Max Power. If the grind is in Leveling the game is not really a “Looter Shooter” in my opinion. It’s a Power Shooter. I miss the Vanilla D2 Leveling System. I want it back.

See the issue with D2 Vanilla was not that people were leveling to quickly, it was the lack of Loot Pursuit and End Game Content that was the issue. If we had the Forsaken/Annual Pass level of Content at launch and we had the Gambit, the Forges and so on nobody would have cared how fast the Progression System was. How quickly a player levels up in any Looter Shooter should be completely up to the individual player. As a Casual, I will agree that Vanilla D2 was way to fast, now it’s way to slow. So all Bungie needs to find that delicate balance between the Hardcores and Casuals that would make us both happy. SayNoToRage has a lot of great Ideas for Improving Destiny’s Leveling/Progression System. Watch his videos and see for yourself. His solutions does just that, makes it to where it benefits both Casuals and Hardcores. I don’t want to Casualfy Destiny in the sense that everything is handed to us on a silver platter without effort in terms of Leveling/Progression, but I do want it Casual in the sense that a player can feel like they have made progress toward Max Power after like an hour of a play session. One of SayNoToRage’s Idea for alleviate the aggregating Leveling System is to for example... Say you are a 600 Guardian and you do a Milestone and that Milestone drops a piece of gear that is 608 making your over all level 604. When you do Public Events, Strikes, Story Missions etc. Blues drop at 604 that way you can round out your gear before doing the next Milestone. That way RNG doesn’t fully dictate how slow or fast someone levels up due to duplicates, bad RNG etc. that’s just one of the Ideas SayNoToRage has. He has many more Ideas that would be amazing. The way Destiny’s Leveling/Progression System is now, those of us who can’t put in 10 hours a day Like Streamers, Content Creators and no lifers can) are left behind and locked out/gated from the End Game Content and Loot Pursuit that are in the Forges, Strikes, Nightfalls etc. which is unfair to the Casual. Hardcores? They already have no issues leveling due to the 10-20 plus hours a day.

  • Ummm, I just said what the grind should be. In the LOOT and the END GAME CONTENT (Raids, Nightfalls, Exotic Quests, farming for God Rolls and so on.) that is what the grind should be the focus on, not leveling. Leveling is something you don’t think about, which in Destiny you have to. Which is BS.

  • Leveling comes naturally and regardless were always grinding for god rolls so idk I'm missing something with what you are suggesting.. I dont feel leveling is a grind.. Start off with a character you rarely use transfer weapons over infuse the rolls you use .. That's what I did I normally play hunter and out of habit I started this season w my hunter instead of my titan like I planned .. My lock is now 745 my hunter from doing just the weekly stuff is 730 and barely touching my titan is 722

  • I feel like Leveling is a grind is cause RNG is apart of the Progression System. If RNG dicks you one week with nothing but duplicates, then you either do’t level at all or you level up 1 or 2 bumps. There was a week where I got nothing but Duplicates in 2 to 3 slots and that was it and that same week cause of those duplicates, I went from 690 to 692. Progression should never have RNG tied to it for that reason. It’s why I agree with SayNoToRage’s solution of having Ada Style Bounties for Armor. That way when you do all your Milestones and you level up all your gear with only your Kinetic and Helmet. You can do those Ada style Bounties one for the Weapons slot you are lacking in and same with the Helmet. That would alleviate the pain of RNG and giving the player a sense of control so RNG doesn’t complete -blam!- a player.

  • Those ada bounties are clutch at times as well as completing the two frames I figured after the uproar over izanagis burden they'd have increased the drop rate for her rares .. Ive had maybe 5 drop recently I had the 6 done for triumph a while back

  • Now you see why Destiny’s Leveling/Progression System is total Garbage. Leveling should be based on XP and XP only like Diablo and Borderlands.
