So, Handcannons are the legendary weapon type almost exclusively utilized by light-oriented order of (more or less) super-soldiers. One problem: Guardians don't exclusively use Handcannons to spread the Traveler's Light. There's 14 other weapon types that Guardians use. (Ok, maybe 13 other types, since I know not many use Sidearms.)

That's the thing he didn't say there are only lightsabers he just said that they are more iconic to it. There are still guns in star wars but people care more about the lightsabers. When you think about destiny do you think of people in the back with pulses and scouts and autos or people with handcannons going for precision shots on the persons head.

When Destiny, as a franchise, comes to mind, I don't imagine a Titan or a Warlock running around a Crucible map (much less a Strike) with a Handcannon. A Hunter, sure, 'cause legendary Hunters have used them in the lore. I don't see Handcannons as the iconic weapon type of Destiny. Not when other weapons have stood out throughout the life of the franchise. Examples being Suros Regime, No Land Beyond, Shadow Price, Icebreaker, Crimson Death, MIDA Multi-Tool, 1000-Yard Stare, Thunderlord, any of the Exotic Swords in Destiny 1, the list goes on. I'm not saying that Handcannons are the least associated with Destiny when it comes to iconic status, they just aren't the most highly regarded.

If only 2% of the player base wanted allot of handcannons why are there people who want less handcannons? There would have to be too many people who want them for there to be too many of them so really there aren't too many and actually people just got what they wanted

It's far less iconic than those things lol. They serve even less of a purpose than a lightsaber does. It's just a gun type, a generic one at that, and nothing more. Destiny wouldn't suddenly be any less of itself if they simply didn't exist.

I'm sorry that you can't aim a handcannon but there are a lot and we aren't gonna remove any so complaining about them has no use and why you you what more Auto rifles or pulse rifles or scoutrifles Scouts aren't even that good, in pvp pulses are annoying and you aren't gonna use some new worse pulse or auto or scout over your better already in the game weapon There are a lot of handcannons but only a few are actually consistently used
