Hmm, I just joined the group recently but I’m not sure what class I want to play. Maybe a tempest.

Well what kind of play style are anticipating on using in-game?
-
For the skill drives I was thinking of using fencer and runner and making something of a stealth/parkour build.
-
Nice, like a ninja build.
-
Something like that, I’ve been playing a lot of assassins creed recently and it sounds cool. Any advice on what class or anything like that?
-
Hmmm... well there are a lot of stealthy opportunities with golems since they can splice their DNA with felines and such, so maybe go golem? And as for skill drives, you should go for runner and fencer if you’re wanting an Assassin’s Creed-like play-through, and if you want to join a crime syndicate, go with the Shirokiba, because they’re very stealth-oriented, into assassinations, and wear all white.

Edited by ImaDrizzit: 6/2/2019 2:03:18 AMI might be a golem, still thinking of that. But I’ve already seen a bunch of other people join the syndicates, someone has to go against them. Also I’m a bit curious, can you tell me the extent of cyborgs augmentations and can you tell me a bit more about scanners.
-
Well it looks like RingLeader and Warlock Holmes are going vigilante and against the syndicates, so you could hook up with them. In terms of cybernetic augmentations, I’m still developing them, but I know there’ll be around a dozen different augmentations at the least, each with their own mods. Some notable ones I can think of are pincers (blades which fold in and out of forearms), anchor (mechanism which shoots hands from wrists by chords, turning them into grappling hook-like devices), and callus (skin-hardening mechanism which defends against ballistic attacks such as bullets). As for scanners, they wear a mask-like device called an aedificator and “scan” the molecular structure of any visible solid material (concrete, metals, etc.) and print it into any imaginable construct (from weapons to architecture) in the area of space in which you’re visually focusing. The size of these constructs depends on how much programatter (programmable matter made from the tissue of extraterrestrial predators known as “morphs” which lurk within the Sewers of Trinity City, which are comparable to the alien from John Carpenter’s The Thing) is loaded into their aedificator. The aedificator can be modded to advance the complexity of the constructs it prints, enabling you to print guns, vehicles, and more.

Interesting, good to know I’ll have ally’s? Now I’m curious about the extent of the golems splicing, if I play one I could technically splice my dna to give me reflexes of a cat, or faster senses, or theoretically give myself the vision and senses of a eagle and replicate Assassins creed eagle vision.
-
Edited by Chillton: 6/2/2019 4:28:14 AMThat’s just splicing with one genode in your gencore, too; if you splice a cat DNA in two genodes, you adopt feline bodily features (such as fur and tail) along with the abilities, and if you splice it with three genodes then you legit just become a cat with human intelligence. This principle applies to all DNA— even other humans.
-
Hmm interesting, golems could technically have so many possibility, speed, reflexes, sight, I could even probably give myself the genome of some animal that can blend into its surroundings. I’m probably going to play a golem ninja/vigilante now.
-
Yeah, like a cuttlefish or something. And sounds like a good character plan to me.
-
How many different animal genomes would I be able to splice at any given time?
-
Three with a default gencore, but you can upgrade to four with enough money.
-
It would probably be expensive though, so I would probably do that later. So I’ll just splice with three animals, one like a cat for reflexes, one that can camouflage, and something like a eagle for sight.
-
Good plan 👍

Now all I need to do is figure out what weapons I will use, and then I’m all set for crimefighting, and I’ve read your description of the syndicates it seems there will be a lot of crime fighting.
-
Yep. Lots of bounty hunters to compete with too.
-
Or work with, ally’s can be useful given the fact that a bunch of people have joined the syndicates.
-
Personally I'm not joining a syndicate per say just because I don't want to face all the dangers that they include. If I do decide to become a bounty hunter then I can join you on some missions.
-
Could be helpful, I have a few ally’s already but more are welcomed. We have a lot of crime to stop and a small amount of people to do it.
-
Edited by StoneFlare21: 6/3/2019 1:55:13 PMI mean, don't get me wrong, but I always try to play as the hero, and this time I think I might want to try a more chaotic neutral approach for my player. But yeah, I won't try to commit horrendous crimes like cannibalism, but I might commit a few smaller crimes of the opportunity shows itself. But I'll definitely try to work along with you and try to not be hostile.
-
Edited by ImaDrizzit: 6/3/2019 2:11:39 PMSounds fine, Of corse I wouldn’t fully trust you, but I’m more after the bigger gangs then smaller crimes. And I’d forget your smaller crimes if we could be ally’s, because I need as many of those as I can get.
-
Sounds good. And I'm not sure what I want my character to do as a job, might just end up being an occasional bounty hunter or a delivery guy for weapons for the Shirokiba, but there are other ideas and I think they guys making this still have some things to figure out, so I think I got time to plan this all out.
-
The only thing my character would have is you delivering weapons to the Shirokiba. I was told that I should join them if I wanted to join one of the gangs because of my characters skill set, so they are almost a shadowy opposite of my character.
-
True. After thinking about this, I might just settle for a bounty hunter since I don't have the Driver skill set just yet. But thee are other jobs other than joining a syndicate, it's just a matter of figuring the right one for my character (plus I never role played before, so this is a first time for me)
