I may sound like an ignorant slave by asking this, but what is OAFL?

Haha, you’re fine. I don’t mind answering questions. Basically, the acronym stands for the Outer Animal Fighting League. If I remember correctly, it was one of the first arenas in its style on OffTopic. It was started by a guy named RunnerGunner, and the whole idea was to entertain audiences with the most dramatic fights possible. However, life happened, and though he and a few others tried bringing it back several times, most we’re largely unsuccessful. I have brought it back, but with a new twist. In the original, fights were entirely determined by “writers” - if you were a writer, it was your job to determine an eventual winner and write out the fight. I thought that was slightly boring, speaking as a participant. No offense to any of the writers, I love their work, but I wished that I could make the decisions of my fighter. So I brought it back, but this time, you fight in the shoes of your fighter. It combines the big ideas of the RP battling system you’ve seen around here for the past month or so with some much-needed organization. You will hear fighters tell you that these fights feel very intense - that’s on purpose. Each and every one is supposed to be epic, dramatic, and exciting. Sorry for typing out so much, but believe it or not, this is the shortened version. If you want the whole thing, go to the Master Post via the OAFL tag. I explain a whole lot more in depth there.
