I do what I always do, slow down and pull on to the shoulder so they can pass, THEN I match their speed, lol.

Matching their speed in a semi. Not intimidating at all
-
I wish I could do that, but no, the company semi's are too slow and pathetic. We used to have these single axle Internationals with these beastly Cummins turbo diesel, now those, those I could pace anyone up to 68 mph, lol.
-
Imagine brakechecking some one who’s tailgating you when you’re in a semi
-
We actually had that happen Wednesday night, Thursday morning. Lady jumped behind one of our guys, he had no idea. Had to slam on his brakes and she plowed into the backend of his trailer. Once he brought the rig to a halt off on the shoulder, she backed her car out from under the trailer bar and drove off. She made it about 2 miles before her engine overheated and seized up. Guess who the drunk driver was, lol.

Edited by blaw_pt_atc: 5/3/2019 7:23:55 PMI have very many questions here How did the woman not get out of the car once he stopped and how was her car still able to run even for 2 miles. How does the driver not feel anything? Or is the truck just so big it dispersed the impact before he can feel it?
-
That would be hilarious to do. The people in front of you just see a semi following them, matching their speed. Although I’m not sure who would tailgate a semi
-
Idiots, that is who. It happens all the time. I always tell folks, if you can't see my mirrors, you do not exist to me, because I can NOT see you. Some idiots will ride in the shadow of your trailer on hot, sunny days, for the shade. It locks you into a lane, because when you slow down to get behind them, they match your speed.
-
Ugh, that’s not fun. If I can’t see the driver of a semi in his mirrors I assume he can’t see me. I’m surprised people do that, seems like it’d slow them down to wherever they’re going. Unless their just out to drive.
-
You might've heard of this, but it is a technique called drafting. You can ride behind a vehicle, very close and their wind passes over you, so your vehicle gets better mpg. Drawback is, you have almost no time to react if they have to slam on their brakes and you better hope the owner of that trailer, which is not always the trucker, spent the money on good tires and did not just buy the cheapest retreads out there! When that tread comes off, your car is going to be seriously hurt, lol!

Rear ending a semi... not sure how much of you would be left. I usually try to avoid being to close to them because of their being a lot bigger than me and I don’t know the condition of the driver usually
-
You are better off rear ending them then any other way of getting in an accident with them, which is scary.
-
Now that you mention it, yea, it is safer to hit them than them to hit you. Now if they were to rear end you things wouldn’t go so well
-
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 This is why I love you!
-
And all this time I thought it was my assless chaps......😂🤣
-
Those were the bait.
-
-
Do what you said then pass them on the shoulder. Road rage ensues most likely
-
I never pass on the shoulder, that is very dangerous.
-
Yea I completely agree. Though it’d be a sure fire way to piss him off. Even a tiny bit funny if you make it out alive.
-
Oh I agree that would be hilarious, I just did not want to give the wrong impression, lol.
-
O lol😂
-
I like to piss folks off from the safety of their rear......
-
😂. I hate when people tail gate. Especially when it’s a two or more lane road. Like if I’m going to slow for you. Move the heck around me
-
I hate it when folks are going slow in the left lane or when they are merging on to the highway and they are putting. Add tailgating, failure to signal and using their cell phone and you have a recipe for me to mount a motion activated 50 mm Cannon in the bed of my truck!
-
😂😂 once I was on the access road and staying on it. And some idiot is starts to get on the highway then no blinker goes yeet and gets back into the access road. I have to serve into the other lane so I don’t hit him
