Service Revolver Drop Rate
With the impending nerf of Luna’s and NF, many have started grinding for a quality Service Revolver. Zavala’s loot pool is too large and getting a Service Revolver let alone a usable one is too rare. An increase is needed for this drop rate.

Edited by TheArtist: 5/7/2019 5:56:10 PMTake a break. Bungie has the nasty habit of manipulating drop rates. So the more you pursue something the less likely it is to drop. Or if the less the game thinks you play, the more likely something good will drop to entice you to play more. When I turned in 800 tokens at once after months of not doing so...I got several good rolls on that weapon. But when I started turning them in regularly? I’ve only seen one mediocre weapon. Take a break. Stockpile up a lot of them... the dump them. If the start dropping. Dump them all. If they don’t? Stop. (Odds are they aren't part of your loot table for that day). Stockpile more of them and come back a different day.

You are wasting your tokens. It will not drop unless you have earned the gun in Y1 or you have completed a triumph that requires you to do 40 strikes in Season 6. The triumph is called “Season 6: Completions”

Buy one from Zavala then they'll start dropping regularly.

Mmmm i went to zavala the other day to deliver that fusion rifle masterwork thingy and got the service revolver with telemeter, kill clip and a masterwork on handling. What a waste i don't play crucible at all.

I wouldnt put it past them to nerf the drop rate knowing its what people are grinding for with the recent luna/NF nerf coming. Another way for them to "extend the grind" similar to what they are doing with leveling and enhancement cores.

3 RepliesI grinded out the triumph yesterday and finally got the vendor version. I had like 500 tokens saved up too. Literally the first new Service Revolver I got had crossfire sights, accurized rounds, rangefinder, kill clip, and a range masterwork. I wish it had sureshot instead, but damn I was pumped to get this roll. It’s pretty beastly in PvP

I really want this = Your RNG is pure trash and you have a better chance of getting a titty twister from a random dude at Walmart. -or- I don't want this = damn thing rains down upon you like pre nerf Edge Transit.

My buddy and I unlocked this together then opened the same amount of packages to try and get better rolls. He got three more, one of which was pretty awesome for his preferences. I got zero. Took me twice as many packages to get another drop with a mediocre roll.

8 RepliesThey'll probably eventually let you choose weapon or armour, that being said it seems a generous drop rate for me. I got like 5 of them in 400 tokens 1 being a great roll I have on my hunter atm.

It's all RNG. When I unlocked it, I put in about 10-12 weapons worth of tokens, and got about 3-4 service revolvers, one of which was a near perfect roll. Have never gotten a spare rations, despite getting 3 bug out bags and 2 outlasts, one of which is curated. Got Le Monarque after 2 powerful rewards, didn't get Jotunn until my 10th. It's all RNG. Some people get it fast and often, some people never do. It's not a matter of drop rate, it's a matter of luck.

Go to the lake of shadows strike... 200 power level. Pop the vanguard boons and just collect as many gifted tokens as you want. Then, use a ghost that rewards extra tokens and equip a nightfall banner with a high score. Load into said nightfall and then collect your vanguard gift tokens. 3 RepliesI dropped a little over 1000 tokens a couple days ago, and only got one. Triple tap and rampage with some pretty bad stat modifiers. Overall I got of pretty lucky but damn, it’s gonna be a rough time finding a good one. Out of that 1000 tokens I got a crap ton of the Vanguard Sniper, Shotgun, and Gauntlets. Really wish I wanted those Snipers, Shotguns, and Gauntlets but I didn’t.

3 Repliesservice revolver isn't in the generalised loot pool due it being an pinnacle weapon that you only obtained by completing pinnacle objectives in the quests .

4 RepliesHardcore dedication with boons can get you a bunch of packs in a week. Get a Vanguard scanner Ghost Shell. It gives a bonus 1-3 tokens per strike. 100k emblems give another 2-3 tokens. Potential 15 tokens per strike if you are the only one who pops a boon for tokens. 25 with a full team.

2 RepliesFrom mathematical point of view, chance to get particular (any, just with specific perks) roll is just few thousandth of a percent. Because we have 14 items in Vuvuzela's pool, plus revolver itself got quite a few perks. On good side, with my almost non-existent participation in Vanguard activity, I got 6. 2 of which are from Hawthorne.
