Lol. I’ve never done Pokemon Showdown(don’t even know what it is actually) but I had my own meme team in Ultra Moon. Mew and Darkrai. Use transform to transform Mew into Darkrai, so double nightmares and double bad dreams. I beat somebody without the m even attacking lol.

It's a battle simulator. There's a bunch of different gamemodes you can build teams for and battle in. Or you can do a randomized format and have your team made for you. I highly recommend it if you like battling. It works on anything with a browser (I use my phone), requires no downloads of any kind, doesn't need a flash player, and to make an account you just need a name and password. Not even email address or anything. And that strat with Mew and Darkrai isn't really a meme. It's just a good strat. It makes sense that double bad dreams+double nightmare would shred a team. A meme would be something widely known to be a really weird and/or dumb strat, like choice scarf+explosion on Electrode or or final gambit Blissey (in Balanced Hackmons). They're usually not effective, but apparently 6 Arceuses (I think that's the correct plural) works decently well.

So would my full imposter Ditto team count as a meme team?
-
In most formats? Yes, that's a meme. In Balanced Hackmons? No, that's a viable strat. Well, imposter is. But that format has an ability clause, so you would only be able to use 2. And you would use imposter Chansey instead of Ditto because that's allowed and has more HP and access to eviolite boosts

So i tried showdown and got promptly destroyed lol. Guess I need to work on my team building skills:
-
In what format? With what team? I can help.

Battle tower singles. I use a: Ninjask Speed boost Focus sash Protect U-turn Baton pass Swords dance Metagross Metagrossite Iron head Zen headbutt Earthquake Hammer arm Garchomp Rocky helmet Rough skin Stealth rock Dragon rush Earthquake Iron head?

Edited by epicperon: 4/26/2019 5:32:40 AM
Ninjask Speed boost Focus sash Protect U-turn Baton pass Swords dance
Don't use Ninjask. It's bad
Metagross Metagrossite Iron head Zen headbutt Earthquake Hammer arm
Don't use hammer arm. Hammer arm is bad. Zen headbutt isn't bad, but psychic is a viable typing for physical coverage. Iron head is inferior to meteor mash and you need priority. Run Bullet Punch Meteor Mash Earthquake Ice punch instead Use meteor mash to weaken enemies that don't resist it, then finish them off with bullet punch.
Garchomp Rocky helmet Rough skin Stealth rock Dragon rush Earthquake Iron head?
I personally like dragon rush in the normal games, but I don't use it on Showdown. It's too inconsistent to be viable. For a dragon type STAB move, either use outrage (though if the opponent has a fairy type you can't lock into it until it's out of the battle for obvious reasons) or dragon claw (which sacrifices a lot of power to not cause garchomp to get deleted by fairy types). You don't need iron head for coverage; metagross can switch into fairy types without issue. If you're going for a tankier Garchomp build with no offensive investment, replace iron head with toxic. If you're putting some investment into attack, either run fire fang for more coverage or swords dance for more damage. Other than that the set is good Oh and the pokemon you switch Ninjask with should have a z-move. Those are meta. Hope that helps

Thanks. I just use Ninjask because I had a lot of fun with it in the games. I would boost up my attack and speed to insane levels then baton pass to metagross.
-
That is really fun to do, but other players are unfortunately to competent to allow that kind of fun. Baton pass strats where you pass more than one boost don't work unless the stat giver completely walls everything your opponent has (or is Eevee with extreme evoboost). Ninjask walls 0 things, so it unfortunately doesn't work with it.
-
I never thought of doing Eevee with baton pass. I might try it.

It's kinda hard to do cuz Eevee is so frail even after the boost, but if you pull it off it's basically a free win. High risk, high reward
