I didn't know the vault had a baseball team... or a baseball diamond for that matter.

Kinda weird how there isn’t a basketball league considering how easy it would be to add a court to an underground vault.

Because the timeline of fallout split off sometime around the 50s and basketball wasn't invented until the 80s. Despite this, Bethesda decided to ignore some of the history of fallout and add a basketball and hoop in Fallout 4, aka the second worst fallout.

Basketball was around before the 80s though.

Wasn't as popular and it wouldn't be recognized by the U.S. Government and Vault-Tec as a sport.
