I mean, the rng does suck but I got the ornament and 2 cores from 7 packages on my warlock, and then I got the ornament and a total of 7 cores from 7 or 8 packages on my hunter. Hunter definitely got lucky with a few drops of 2 or 3 cores each, while every other drop was a blue. Now if only I could keep the ornaments I'd say I was pleased with the outcome.

I get it you enjoyed looting cores. I had a few here and there too, but I was expecting gears or weapons or ornaments. At least one. Came back and got the titan ornament on the 3rd one I opened thereafter. At least it feels like complete, but I still like to farm gears, as I don’t feel like playing this game is fun beyond optimizing gear sets.

this is the problem, you got it with relatively little effort, and there are people with 20-30 packages purchased and nothing but blues. If EVERYONE got it in say 5 or 10 packages and it was built so the closer you got to X number the higher the drop rate, we'd all be digging this but once again, RNG on top of RNG, to decide more RNG. Which creates frustration because some people say, it's not an issue i got it right away. well that's great, but that doesn't happen for everyone, and if you don't see that, you just may be falling into the group known as "elitist or entitled" cause you aren't interested in everyone having the same opportunity. (not you per-say Smokeshadow, just using that as an example). if we could all get it with the same effort, and that goes for EVERYTHING in this game, there would be a LOT LESS complaining.

That's all fairly stated, but everyone I play with who turned in 10 packages at once got an ornament, with an average of 7 packages for it to drop. Maybe people are turning in like 3 or 4 at a time, on different characters? I recommend getting at least 750 essence, and turn them all in back to back to back on 1 character. Seems to work almost every time, at an average of 7 to 8 packages for your ornament to drop. But then again, I completely sympathize with everyone whose RNG was a cruel -blam!- this past week. I'm aware it can be rough. 70 EP clears when EP first came out to get my shotty... yeah, I know all too well how rng can be sometimes. But perhaps try the method I listed, and good luck!

thanks for the tip, and no i've never done that many, cause i'm usually spamming arc soul/grenades. but i'll try that next. I have about 300 or so essence right now.

Yeah, I stopped using essence once the main triumphs were completed, and I just began saving it for packages instead. Well, I used it in Crucible twice to join in the grenade fun too... lol. Dont forget about saving 300 for the exotic gun if you didn't get it yet. Good luck!

already got Arbalest so i was just spamming grenades. Warlock with getaway artist gauntlet, and bottom tree storm caller.... and risk runner it can actually cause frame rate drop on my xbox one X. there is literally lightning everywhere. spam arcsoul charges instead of throwing grendades, and keep dropping rifts. insane
