  • Fair enough. It at least breaks away from the Agatha Christie frame you’ve been following, which I like.

  • Agatha Christie? The author who wrote “And Then There Were None”, which seems to be what you’re basing this off of?

Huh. She’s a world-renowned murder mystery author. She’s written many murder mysteries, including “And Then There Were None”, “Murder on the Orient Express”, the ABC Murders, “Death on the Nile”, “Mouse Trap”, “Witness for the Prosecution”, “Appointment with Death”, among many others, and she created the character Hercule Poirot, who’s her main character in most of her books. She’s the most bestselling murder mystery writer of all time. She is the third most widely published author, behind Shakespeare at number 2 and the Bible at number 1. You’ve probably read one or two of her works somewhere, even if you didn’t realize it was her.

  • Don’t feel bad about it, she pretty much made the murder mystery genre famous. If you take inspiration from her, all the better for you. You’re not copying her, and so I don’t think you’d be in any trouble.
