Tell me my friend, when was the last time you have used a sidearm in either Crucible or PvE? At that, when have you used Rat King? It’s very good. Hell, it nearly matches Luna’s Howl range when Luna’s isn’t masterworked for it.

I use all archetypes of weapons. I really don't like sidearms, bows and swords And the Rat King is trash when you don't know how to use it, but for near encounters is a monster. But not better than LH or NF in a range combat

About a 13~ range difference, which is noticeable, but not life ending if you were invisible and got the first shot off.

All change with a shotgun, fusion, or even the Lunas

Thing is, this post was only comparing both the Luna’s and Rat King. I can not argue that Erentil and any shotgun like Dust Rock Blues has an upper hand as far as close quarters goes, but these stats comparing the two guns are entirely un-situationalized. Rat King is a situational gun, which, well, allows it to exceed in various situations besides your typical 1v1 equal footing fights. And if we’re talking about guns that people typically use along with Luna’s Howl, I raise you the Recluse.
