So the playerbase that didn't abuse the exploit has to suffer while the others that did gets to swim in cores? Gotcha.

We missed out...they used a bug to their advantage, it was "fixed" for the time being. It's exactly the same as glitch in the last wish chest...how many people did that? Should they have had their items removed?

agree, Whether it is “right” or “wrong” is not the real issue. It was a bug people found and took advantage of. I could honestly say and hate to admit it but had I none...I’d have rocked out a few myself. Simply because it was a bug and it was found by the field research teams.

It's annoying that those people keep there free stuff, then probably talk down to us that getting cores is easy. Meanwhile, me and a few others have to wait to get our gear that we earned

They wouldn't even be a thing to be exploited to this extreme, if it wan't a major component to keep proceeding or moving forward in this game. Its just another Xp/time spent Throttles in this game bungie decided to make.
