What armor sets in the last few seasons have you liked and disliked. I really love the Forge and Gambit Prime sets. We have given feedback that a lot of players preferred the Wolf/Knight aesthetic for Iron Banner sets as well as how much everyone loved the glowing raid ornaments.

My go to d1 set. Iron Companion helm. Iron Companion gauntlets. Armamentarium chest plate. Will Breaker's greaves. Dead Orbit exotic mark. Super Black/Pallas Victorius/ The Ointment/ Million Million. This is probably the thing I miss most from D1. That and customizable subclasses.

Say that shit louder!

Edited by GRIM_REAPER_252: 3/26/2019 12:00:43 PMThe raid armor is the only decent looking sets in the game and even then they’re garbage compared to the Age Of Triumph sets from D1. Edit: Forgot to mention the Iron Banner/Trials season 2 ornaments.

The titan arms are god awful they are too huge

Edited by Cerebral_Policy: 3/26/2019 11:43:35 AMI really like the FoRgE & GaMbIt PrImE SeTs. I just found this really funny seeing as how the Hunter just doesn't get symmetry. On the Annealed Shaper Set the Hunter seems to be missing leg armour & For the Gambit Prime Set the Hunter just doesn't know how to buckle a boot but for Titan & Warlock everything seems to be in order & symmetrical.

For me the Sovereign and Dawning sets are the only worthy ones.
-
We need stuff like the Prime Zealot Vex prosthetic ornament from AoT.

Edited by Trollefix: 3/26/2019 11:16:03 AMDawning armor looks nice. Liked all of them. The dreaming city set looks clean and nice as well. I really want some more futuristic looking ones. The game takes place in the future with some pretty crazy technology and here i an running around in rags from the old world. I was huge fan of the Desolate sets from D1 with spektar glow.

The only warlock armor that I loved was the first dawning armor and the season 3 iron banner ornament set (ashraven helmet, etc.). They’re now obsolete but some armor sets don’t look too bad. The prodigal chest armor looks nice, as does the reverie dawn helmet, but too many armor sets are either lackluster or just look plain stupid. (I’m lookin at you, scatterhorn warlock set).

The faction vendors sets of armour, stand out for me. The ones in D1 were amazing the ones in D2, especially the edgelords that is Dead Orbit were mediocre to appalling. The best looking armour in D2 you have made obsolete, because you have not allowed it to be brought forward from Year 1. (Solstice, FWC, NM and original Leviathan raid armour.) And don’t say that you can infuse it, they can’t take Year2 mods and don’t have any ammo perks we need since the recent round of unnecessary nerfs to Weapons, particularly WotW. Didn’t miss, did I Cozmo? Oh while we’re at it, please ask the Investment Team to stop being so bloody arrogant and stubborn and remove Enhancement Chores from Infusion. Unless you’re too busy not missing Whisper shots. 🤪

Hunters need scarfs (like destiny 1’s faction class armor, during crota era) and I would love to see an ornament system for iron banner equipment that used the sets and ornaments from year one of d2. Additionally, y1 d2 gear should be obtainable with the y2 perks, and look exactly the way they already do. Right now, the vanguard gear is just an ugly version of the mercury gear. I would say a better idea would be to make all y2 equipment be able to equip ornaments of y1 gear, obtainable by ranking up on the different planets or activities from y1. It would breath life into the y1 planets, and make old raids worth doing again, to earn enough coins to purchase the ornaments. Another idea would be to add a section near emotes, which were “full costume” cosmetics, which overlays a full set look to your character, eververse could have a few exclusives too, for really over-the-top costumes (like a butler or maid outfit for warlock that changes storm trance, so the warlock pulls out a vacuum cleaner for the duration of the super). This could be a way to bring d1 looks back to d2 without inundating the loot pool with gear that will be unlikely to match the roll of your favorite gear. Look how you want, with the stats you love!

Folks are forgetting TTK where everyone had the same few armour sets on for months dude to lack of choice. I think currently it's personal taste rather than a design shift. It's also having to wear armour you don't like a lot of the time because of the infusion/cores situation. I like some of it, I don't like others but I can always get a full set I'm happy with, eventually. Specific dislikes are Iron Banner stuff being stuck in a rut, just do something different. Shaders map armour in unexpected and inconsistent ways making full sets look mismatched. I like very few hunter helmets, the hardwear store dust mask ruins the shore one. Also on that, Hunters heads sit very low in several cloaks, almost like some helmets have removed the characters neck. Very odd looking. Fabric cloaks with metal attachments on the hoods? No, just no. Annoyingly the D1 esque Eververse sets are my current favourites. Conspiracy theory in 5... 4... 3...

Edited by xMikeTheRipper: 3/26/2019 10:22:24 AMI'm sorry but the Gambit Prime set is ugly...at least the Hunters is...Hunter's have been really neglected armour design wise. I don't mean to be rude or offensive to the designers but the gear starting from Season 4 onward has been VERY generic looking and bland.... Season 1-3 Iron Banner sets for instance looked AMAZING, what happened? even going back to D1 some of the sets in that game, particularly the raid gear looked amazing, it just feels like the creativity is dead :\ That's not to say it's all bad, but there's really only a handful of even Eververse gear/ornaments/ghosts/sparrows/ships that i've really liked personally. Also there really needs to be a system in place to re-roll exotic ghosts because a lot of the REALLY bad ass looking ghosts have useless perks...I have so many I just carry but never use because the XP boost ghosts are just so much more useful than Speed Demon or Gunsmith Parts....
We have given feedback that a lot of players preferred the Wolf/Knight aesthetic for Iron Banner sets as well as how much everyone loved the glowing raid ornaments.
That's a start! but that also doesn't just mean you can add a few glowy bits and call it a day...those Raid sets looked amazing because they were CREATIVE the glowy bits were a bonus ( think Vault of Glass Warlock Chest Piece with the ornament made your back look like a Gorgon)...The scourge set looks too similar to the Forge set for example...why not at least add an Ornament to the scourge Raid gear to make us shimmer like Ada since that's kinda the Forge's theme? All the Leviathan sets pretty much looked the same...everything in D2 design wise just feel like that new Exotic Sparrow... "Barebones"

I like the forge armor, the dreaming city armor and some of the pieces of the great hunt armor. I despise the levi armor, basically all the base gambit armor, crucible sets in forsaken. AND EVERY SINGLE ARM PIECE IN DESTINY 2 FOR THE TITANS. GONE ARE THE DAYS OF MAUL'S MAULERS. WE HAVE THE DEVASTATION COMPLEX BIRD BATHS.
-
the biggest problem with armor sets is that some parts of the set don't change color with shaders. whats the point of a shader if part of the armor isn't going to change color?
-
Exactly!!
-
man...I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hates those fecking turtle feet. I also hated those pointy shoes from early in D2, Year 1.... Let not speak about the baggy pants called Gemini Jester or the hideous looking camo ornament for Orpheus Rig...
-
Make good Hunter gaunlets.. It is getting annoying how uneven are the gaunlets and legs for hunter, the one arm or leg has armor or some extra pieces the other doesn't.. And for the love of god stop with ninja turtle shoe.
-
i...hate the hunter gauntlets with a shoulder or elbow piece on one side and nothing on the other...it's been done and most of the time it looks terrible. The new Gambit Prime gauntlets are the worst, it's cowboy and then an out of place shoulder piece on one side....why?
-
Exactly. Scourge of past arms and legs too, exodus down grips too. They look cool but only the left shoulder has this metal plate over the shoulder
-
Reckoning/Gambit Prime armour is nice. Forge armour was ok, but too much of a grind for me to bother. Generally all the forsaken armour has been ugly. I liked the escalation protocol armour. I think the dreaming city gear is ugly. IB gear has been underwhelming. Most of Destiny 1 armour towards the end of the game was nice. Rise of Iron stuff. Chroma gear. SUPERBLACK shader.
-
Add transmogs! Problem fixed
-
I enjoy it more when I could make my hunter look more like a space cowboy, bounty hunter, or just a hunter. I wouldn’t mind the ninja theme if it wasn’t shoved in every set like base d2
-
Characters' necks are way too long. By like a full 3 inches. I realize this was probably part of an early design decision but it's super obvious when the helmet is off. Some armors are better than others at covering it up but it's impossible to unsee how anatomically wrong it looks regardless of how well the armor is modeled. Maybe that's somewhere to start? Also, Warlock helmets need a rework all around. The whole narrow slot/completely blind aesthetic is super ugly. Warlocks need visibility too, and without being forced to look like some space matriarch. More practical and masculine yet refined designs would be really cool.

I was late to the d2 party but some of the locations armour are shocking whilst others are really cool.I would love to see dead end cure updated with perks for my hunter.
