The problems are: 1. They are far too rare a currency for the mundane function they serve. It’s like your grocery store demanding payment in diamonds. 2. They take far too much work to obtain. 3. That work is not part of the natural process of gameplay and is unpleasant. Which is why Bungie is never going to win this fight. They’re either going to have to back down or they’ll bleed players until the game fails. Fact is they need us more than we need them. Only question is how long it will take them to figure this out.... ....and how much damage will they do to the franchise and their reputation (again) before they do?
