Interesting point. From that perspective shards and all the associated items acquired with them seem to be a an issue, its irrelevant removing cores if you cant infuse the items anyway because you dont have the other mats. I was under the impression that was a grindy game for grinding, it always had in game currencies and material mats, the whole point of it was grinding out those activities to obtain them over and above passing the story lines. Are you going to want everything removed in order to respect user time and allow a completely open progression. Completely open progression as per D2 vanilla nearly killed the game. Its a point of view, not a point of view I can agree with, it fundamentally changes the game to a short term non grindy game that has zero challenge. You can already get to 700 without infusing anything and avoiding pretty much all end game activities. The system already allows for that through dreaming city and milestones and the system already allows you to put any item in the vault, never touch it but still have it count to your over all light level. The story and a drifter bounty will get you to 640 with 0 effort, what more do you need after that ?

 • I didn't personally complain about the other costs, but I used them as groundwork proof that Infusion already has a decent tax, especially if you're new. It's an acceptable one as we have the time grinded over the last year to make it moot, and that's perfectly okay. I used the Warframe example to make another sense of it Veterans don't need to grind the most basic of crap to do the most basic of things

 • So how is murdering infusion solving the problem, huh? In order to infuse something to 700, you must already possess an item in the same slot of power 700. There is literally no difference between someone rocking hodge podge to hit 700 and someone rocking infused at 700. We're not asking for something new, we're just asking for what we already have. Is that so difficult a concept to grasp?
