• Decent enough, I suppose. Can’t sleep though. Bad sleep habits I made are catching up to me!

I understand about that! Been a night owl all my life and this week I am on vacation and need to be up and about at 7 am........... can't sleep!! Sometimes, I wish I could sleep forever and recharge, then I end up being sleepless.......

Dad jokes are always accepted with me!
whether or not the new Ninjas allow them, that is another story
• they’re stereotypical, because you’re assuming that only dads make the joke. unacceptable

That is an erroneous assumption. Those types of jokes are titled as Dad jokes so I was merely using the title that they are commonly referred to. Hence, I was making no assumptions as to only Dad's being able to use them or tell them!

  • I can relate to being a night owl, I don’t know why I am one though... Of course aside from the obvious, I procrastinate...
perhaps you could join the void...
You know though, you might he a natural night owl. Folks seem to think that since they wake with the sun, everyone else must as well. That is a serious issue with humans, myself included, we tend to forget that not everyone operates the exact same way as we do.

  • Yeah, as well with other things as well... For example the Myers Briggs test, a test based on decades of research describing a personality type (and no not like oh what’s your horoscope but as In actual traits advice etc) For example I took the test and received INTP, which is apparently 3% of the population (now I can officially call myself special) And our thinking process is more of a robot then a emotional being, which I’ve seen a lot in myself... But to add to that point as well I’ve once taking the test where it gave me the same but ENTP, difference being extroverted... So that’s cool I guess... And both fit me INTP=Logician ENTP=Debater Everybody is different... But I advise you to check it out, just search 16 personalities test, it’s pretty cool... It’s the website with a sleek design in looks, and has characters that look geometric and blocky...
perhaps you could join the void...
• I had the good fortune of meeting the people who made the test in person. I got the feeling that after we shook hands they knew everything about me. Very nice people.

  • Yeah they’re really cool people, all the info on the INTP personality fit me completely, the lack of acknowledging emotion due to views cantered towards logic, great creativity, being a asshole sometimes, and liking the fact that we are a small percentage in the world! I think of Sheldon from the Big Bang theory... But uh, you know, human...
perhaps you could join the void...
• They’ve updated the test over the years, and assuming you are as honest as possible with it I’ve found their descriptions to be almost spot on with the broad stuff. It was definitely a good experience meeting them.
I’ll have to decline joining the void for now. Maybe at some point I will.
• Yeah, get what you mean. At least I can take this opportunity of no sleep tonight to work on an essay. I’ve been bad about working out lately, probably would get better sleep if I did that more consistently

I miss working out. I am a truck driver and aside from walking around my truck for half my lunch break, I just do not have the opportunity to work out. Oh well, you know what they say, round is a shape, lol.

  • Hahaha. Well, it sounds like it ain’t bothering ya too much. If you’re a truck driver making long trips, then being a night owl would be a good trait to have, no?

It really is! It helps me avoid most the traffic and stay safe, which is always good! There are some truck stops that are putting in gyms these days, but ot doesn't help that the only food they serve is greasy spoon cuisine, lol.

  • Well, ya do what you can. If it helps you feel better, I suppose I’d recommend just doing something simple like pushups or sit-ups that you can do without gym equipment. That’s what my dad told me to do before I was old enough to go to the gym by myself, was just some push-ups and sit-ups every morning. I was bad about actually doing ‘em though haha. Might be trite advice but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When I am home, I do sit ups. I can't do push ups since I had my shoulder rebuilt. Mainly, I try to work on my cardio, that way I am not a wheezing fat guy, lol.

  • Rebuilt shoulder? Wow, that’s pretty heavy duty. Yeah, cardio’s super important. I used to do a lot more of it than I do now, being that I was a cross country runner in high school. I feel kinda bad that I’m not even close to the level I used to be though.
