The Nine are the living consciousness of each of the planets of Sol, using dark matter as their form of communication. Which explains why they need matter-life to exist, for without life on any planet of any kind, that planet’s life span would surely drop. And why they’re so interested in our Light, since the Traveler made each planet it touched flourish. They want that power.

Pluto is a dwarf planet, no more a standard planet since 2006. Like Ceres, Haumea, Makemake and Eris. So the solar system has 8 planets. I know it hurts for US guys, but it’s facts. Eris is more massive than Pluto, just saying...

Didn't we find another 9th planet and call it Planet X? Would be interesting considering the lore tab about going to X once we have 100 points.

So then Eris becomes planet 9. You gotta understand that Destiny takes place like 6-7-800 years in the future. So..by that time there could be a full 9 planets.

The nine still existed before there were planets and stars. They are just stuck on planets. Because of gravity basically become one with them. Planets are just dust with gravity holding it together

Technically the planets existed as dust before they were planets. If you want to get technical everything is made from stardust

Like I said, the dark matter projections are their ways of communication. As for their thoughts, well, it’s just their thoughts. They’re primordial beings, after all. Of course their thoughts would be vast. And yeah they can speak to anyone they want. Doesn’t make them any less planet core

Ah. Yeah, you’re right. They can. The Drifter and the Shadows, to be exact. All Gambit is is a way to corral Guardians and their Light into becoming a Shadow and siding with the Nine, helping them with whatever they need. Watch. That conversation the Drifter will have with the Emissary will be all about just that.
