According to the Lore the Drifter maybe suffering schizophrenic episodes or perhaps PTSD. It seems that he has seem something traumatizing... *Edit* He is also hungry, he always seems hungry, that is a symptom to anxiety... [spoiler]This is intriguing, I started to notice his rambling immediately when he was moved to the Annex...[/spoiler]

  • Pretty sure he was talking to his ghost. In the new lore, they explain in great detail that his ghost is [i]really[/i] good at hiding. “Being hungry” also seems like an inside joke between the two, since Shin died of starvation multiple times as a young risen.

  • That sounds right, from what it says in the new Lore it says that the Drifter himself can summon the Taken (or something similar) on whim.... This close connection maybe a stresser and could be harming his mental stability...
