Objectively false. My primary criticism of Destiny 2 since its initial launch is the fact that all of its weapons are identical. Exotics in Destiny 2 have been bland and uninteresting since its launch also. A hand cannon with explosive rounds? That was the best exotic they could come up with?
Now, if we're talking about the first Destiny you would have a point, but even there it was only exotics and raid gear that was unique.
I haven't played Anthem, but if your first argument against it is that Destiny has unique weapons I'm going to struggle to believe any of your other arguments.

Like a better devils and old fashioned don't feel the same, vigilance wing and bygones don't feel the same. Where as every single LMG/assault rifle in Anthem feels the same. The difference is only in the stats (damage & perks) they all feel the same. You cannot tell the difference between the two guns since they look the same and shoot the same way.

And every single auto rifle in D2 is the same, "except the stats." Repeat the above for every weapon type. Even the trace rifles - exotics of their own weapon class - feel identical to auto rifles. And submachine guns, feel just like the auto rifles. I'm not going to claim that there is literally only one weapon in Destiny 2, but to claim that Destiny 2 has weapon variety is just an outright lie, regardless of whether or not it's true of any other games.

To claim every single auto rifle is the same is equally a lie as well, there is a reason weapons like the forward path and suros are good, it's because they are different. No auto rifle in game is similar to suros, it feels unique to use. Same goes for so many others. I do agree that there is less variety than there used to be but to say all of guns feel the same is not right. Mida mini tool, risk runner and the IKELOS SMG are all sub machine guns are each feel so unique and different to use.

They don't require any different playstyles or strategy. They don't require any different positioning. At the end of the day, an automatic gun is an automatic gun.
