Same thing happened to me, I wanted to try out a build I saw Cammy use and I couldn't get a good game in lol
I think once the new season hits more people will come back (and after everyone's done playing anthem lol)

Pvp. They are playing apex. Pve players that wanted to check out anthem had little effect on the crucible population. I recommend apex for any lower skilled pvp players. After 4 + years of Destiny’s auto aim, I am in disbelief on how bad my shot got in gaming. I am also enjoying the break
