Hello,
The key would go into Ada-1's inventory if it's deleted or lost. Check all of Ada-1 inventory pages and your postmaster.
Bungie is investigating missing quest frames.

nah wasnt the key, it was the vex transponder or something like that, that drops from the vex

It would still be at Ada-1 or your postmaster. Please check both places on that character. If you don't find it there or in your pursuits then you will need to kill Vex on Nessus until it falls again.
