I do like that they gave more light to both sides. They gave Shin some more personality, fleshed him out a little(albeit in text only and not in the gameplay itself), made him a bit more human. And with the Shadows of Yor, while some really are kind of sociopathic, it shows that some among them really don't want to be evil vessels of Dark. Rather, some wish to follow the potential of the path Yor took, to perhaps follow it down a different fork and utilize the power of the Deep to their own needs. Some let it consume them, but others want to find a way to harness it without letting it posess them. I wish it was more involved in the game itself rather than merely some text in the lore books section, but neat enough, I suppose.
