Which Star Wars era was/is your favorite?
Which is your favorite and why?
Mine is the Clone Wars.

1 ReplyI grew up with the original trilogy ( Episodes 4, 5 and 6 ) so for me, those embody everything that I look for when I hear the words “Star Wars”. Having said that, I have nothing against the new films. I think they are good although they do suffer from some shitty contrived moments. As for the prequels, hate em with a passion although Revenge of the Smith is enjoyable, I’d even go so far to call it good.

1 ReplyI’m kinda in the minority in that I like the prequels best. Yes, the Anakin scenes were bad, but c’mon, that political trickery by Palpatine was pretty clever.

4-6, I guess. A bit better written. I did love the battle scenes in 1-3, though. Those were epic. The sequels are just mediocre in every sense. I did like Solo and Rogue One, but the main new trilogy I can't seem to give a single shit about. Can't seem to like even one of the characters.

Anakin/Padme romance = Major barfaroni. Wish I could hop into Ep. 1 at a crucial moment... PADME: "Her Highness wishes for you to take her handmaiden with you." QUI-GON: "This isn't a good idea." ODDISH: "It's a worse idea than you think. That's actually the queen in disguise." QUI-GON: "Well that's it, you are SO not going." PADME: "But her Majesty demands it." QUI-GON (waves hand): "You don't feel like going. You want to stay in and watch sappy romance movies." PADME: "I don't feel like going. I want to stay in and watch sappy romance movies." Padme returns to the ship, Quigon goes on alone. Galaxy saved, you're welcome. ;)

I love 4-6, but I love the really old era, like Old Republic and the Sith before the Empire

I loved TFA, it was better than all three prequels combined. The last Jedi... well you know how that went. My favorite is still the original trilogy

Lore wise it's episode 1-3 and before. In terms of films it's 4-6 (I include rogue one and solo in that bracket as they're ok).
