That would be interesting but I couldn't really see us fighting A.I "guardians"....

-
I know that but it's really the actual gameplay I can't really see
-
You how so?
-
Why not? Ghaul was basically an AI guardian.
-
But gaul was gaul. Guardians are players which mean that they are unpredictable which is something games can't do
-
Perhaps I misunderstood, but as I see it, they would be AI with special and different abilities than the enemies we fight in game today. Bungie does this all the time when they introduce new enemies like the siva fallen, the taken, the scorn, and most boss encounters. The Risen would be a different spin on that idea while honoring the lore we share with them as guardians.

I can see where your coming from but look at how player guardians act. Shoot jump retreat and react. It's the react that I'm having trouble with. A player can see that there is a more instant threat and take that out and switch guns or use abilities depending on what is happening around them. A.I on the other hand just followed mapping: fire twice, use an ability, fire twice, fire twice, dodge, use strong ability repeat. Repeat is the thing with A.I that I'm having trouble seeing in A.I guardians

I understand what you mean. I believe games will always struggle to make their AI seem more 'human'. But I do not want to discount ideas simply because the appearance of a machine causes us to pause and reminds us that they are just that, machines operation on different logic.

I would like to see shadows of yor or frames fighting us but I think full blown guardians would feel off
-
Agreed those too would be fun, the Shadows of Yor are a great example and I hope they get more involved in the next season.
