Great post. Maybe I’m remembering another crashed skiff, but I remember one with that colour blue and orange accents. Rectangular orange stripes across the front, mostly buried. Made me think it belonged to some minuscule group we’d never seen, or a subset of a House. I know they were also at the start of the mission ‘Nothing Left to Say.’

 • Isn’t that the watchtower mission? Because then it likely belonged to Spider.

 • Yeah, that’s the one. I mean, they could have, and now that you say that, I would make sense. I have a spinfoil-hat theory about them originating (a long time back) with the House of Scar. That may make some sense. That’s pretty interesting...

 • The ancient Houses is something I never thought about. But most of them died out during the Whirlwind.

 • I just connected them since Spider’s computer monitor has the symbol worn by Taniks on it, and there was a piece of concept art long ago with a Ketch filled with orange banners with that same symbol. And, you know, ‘Scarred.’ I figure that may be a double-meaning. Also, the Lost Sector ‘Shaft 13’ in the Sludge was a boss called the ‘Scarred Captain,’ and the Fallen gang in the PoE is called the Scar Gang. I find there too many references to scars to believe that the House of Scar didn’t reach Sol, though it probably collapsed long ago. Now, the symbol may just be the mark of a mercenary, but it all seems too coincidental. I dunno. I’m probably reading too far in!

 • Nice findings. I mean, it’s not impossible. I don’t know when they died out, at least not on the top of my head. They could have very well made it here, seeing as Tankis is/was here too. It’s those small, somewhat connected bits of lore that I’m looking for in this series. So stop doing my job😂
jk it’s cool
• Ha, sure thing, Mr. Vanguard, sir! 😆👍 I’ve always been a sucker for the Fallen Houses. The tiny details of D1 told us a lot more about them than was clearly visible. The dynamics between them and the symbols they sport are super important, and just really cool. I love analyzing the extent of the Kings’ influence in D1, like Aksor and the House of Winter/Wolves, and Frigoris and the House of Exile. Can’t wait to see more of these posts. People really underestimate the value in exploring Lost Sectors!

 • Man, I wish the old Kings were still around. They were one of my favorite mysteries in D1.

 • I mean, they may be still. It’s just too bad we won’t see them. I dunno where else the House of Dusk got an Archon from though!
