Nice. Especially love the titan Wall reference. One bit I don’t quite understand... who would take vengeance on Variks for Cayde’s death? The Guardian? The one lore-wise reason I think that the player Guardian doesn’t talk is because the guardian is an extension of the player. It’s like playing a make believe game as kids. The characters were us! Just... faster, stronger, a bit older, way cooler. But what we said was what they said. So the Guardian and the player being interchangeable, the Guardian is aware of all the lore the player knows. So the Guardian has read the Most Loyal book and understands why Variks left the Prison. I don’t blame him. My Guardian is smarter than that. I don’t think that most of us actually blame Variks... his motives were preyed upon by Riven. Our beloved Cayde’s death has only Savathûn to blame. Variks, Uldren Sov, Petra, even Riven and our Guardian were pawns in her grand scheme, for a darker purpose yet to be fully revealed. It’s really a riveting story. I have no idea how Bungie came from vanilla D1 to here.
