I get your point but those are the most important planet materials since it is the easiest armor to get with enhanced perks.

  • It’s called mods and yes I do, blink is the life for me. You go ahead and rock your peon perks.

  • I main a Warlock. When running no exotic armor (I do it some) I'm at 9, 0, 4. When running Karnstein Armlets I'm at 8, 1, 4. When running Phoenix Protocol I'm at 9, 0, 5. When running Geomag Stabilizers I'm at 9, 1, 5. Even with the first example (no Exotic armor) you can take more hits than you might think. You can also strafe faster than most enemies can hit you. Am I going to go toe to toe with the boss on a solo Nightfall run, just stand still in front of the him and tank shots? Hell no. I can easily strafe side to side while blowing him away while he is shooting into the air beside me though. Believe me, the first time I ran a low (or zero) Resilience setup I was extremely skeptical about it. The thought of doing so went against every build I had done prior. That was over a year ago. Now it's the only way I set my Warlock gear up.

My experience however is more PvP based. In PvE warlock has so many abilities at its disposal to recover i'm not concerned about taking damage. When i used to run a mobil spec in PvP i just found i was either exchanging or being out gunned way to quickly compared to just having my resilience at least at 4. That's why I spec for armor - not too bulky, but just enough that I don't get mapped without a chance to respond.

  • I get that. Let me ask this... How are your numbers in pvp for mobility, resilience and recovery? It's been a looong time since I ran much pvp at all and have been recently thinking about a build specific for it. I could build a duplicate rig with nothing but resilience mods. That would put me at around 8, 6, 4. That or I could use a recovery on a piece and run 8, 5, 5. Could also build a rig with quite a bit lower resilience and put some serious effort into maxing resilience and recovery.

  • Currently, when running Nova Warp I run 2,4,7. I use blink. 7 recovery pretty much means as soon as i get back under cover i'm healing. 4 resilience is where i found i was exchanging less frequent and winning more engagements vs anything less than 4 i was either exchanging or dieing. For the record, I don't do comp, and this is based off of regular quickplay and banner.

  • I used to run a build with recovery at 7, 8 or 9 (don't honestly remember which). I was always amazed at how fast it actually worked. Buddy of mine keeps pushing me to get back into pvp and with IB coming up... I'm going to do something tonight. I'm thinking I may go ahead with the high resilience and high recovery. Crap part about it is that I just broke down about 80 armor pieces for the Warlock a couple days ago. I might look homeless. 👻

  • That could be a nice thing. :) I just got home from work and immediately jumped into Item Manager. Like I said, I broke down about 80 armor pieces just for the Warlock. That is absolutely NO exaggeration. Started counting what I had in the vault and on my character... I STILL have 131 pieces just for him. I bet I can come up with something functional AND nice looking! :P I honestly didn't realize I was hoarding Warlock gear that heavily!

  • Only issue I have with that is I have gotten to the point of just infusing crap roll 650 Reverie armor into much better lower level Reverie armor. The only reason I ever even pick the stuff up anymore is out of habit from the years of doing it on every other planet.

  • That’s what I’m saying. It takes 5000 glimmer and 25 planet mats.

  • What do any of the planet materials have to do with armor? Infusion.

  • Gotcha. I dont infuse that stuff much seeing as all of the pieces usually dont have the perks i want/need.

  • Pretty sure he is talking about infusion for the reverie dawn gear. But that doesn’t come close to using the thousands of useless baryon bough many people have.

  • Yeah. I personally dont have enough cores or the right perks on the armor to feel like i waNt to infuse the armor. Every now and then an enhanced perk will show up, but it drops at 650, anyways, most of the time.
