“They never told me gofannon had a quest, that’s false advertising” No, it’s not. Just because they never said there wouldn’t be a puzzle doesn’t mean it’s false advertising. False advertising would be promoting Niobe Labs and then never releasing Niobe Labs.

  • In one word, your argument is invalid. "Event" Bungie marked this as an EVENT and hyped it up to levels such as the dawning/crimson days Shooting symbols on a wall for 24hours in trial and error is not an event. The argument could be made that it's still an "event" since there are encounters and mechanics, but at best Niobe is predatory + deceptive marketing, and at worst, it's false advertising and lying to consumers

  • It’s not false advertising to make Niobe Labs a puzzle. You are promised the event not how to unlock it.

  • Er, literally just proved my point there? Nowhere in the runup to Niobe was the it advertised to be a puzzle. Like I said, it's not false advertising in the legal sense, but deceptive marketing and promotion don't make it any better either lmao

  • And now where was the Gofannon or Izanami advertised as a quest, but there no need to call that deceptive. It’s stupid to complain that the advertising never said Niobe was gonna be a puzzle, they released the content the way they wanted, they didn’t need to say it was gonna be a puzzle anywhere before.

  • Ok. I'm sorry I triggered your feathery little behind because I actually take issue with the way this was marketed instead of the actual content like 90% of complaints over the last 24 hours lmao

Unfortunately false advertising is still applied when you fail to give information about a product being sold but requiring either specific actions, or knowledge.

  • No, just because they didn’t say there was a puzzle doesn’t make it false advertising. Niobe Labs is still there, everyone can solve the puzzle. Also, the product they are selling isn’t Niobe Labs, it’s the annual pass. So, it’s not false advertising to say Niobe Labs is included, and they don’t then need to explain how they will be unlocked.

  • What, sort of like how they've already stated that the next stuff to release is hidden behind a puzzle that their "best and brightest" can't solve? Sit down, son.

  • They stated that after the product had been released and purchased. That would be like you buying a car and the car dealership telling you that the cars frame is bent after you have owned it for 3 months.
