I remember in D1 everyone was excited to see what Xur had. I'd be in the middle of a raid and someone would jump in my party and be like "Xur is selling icebreaker!" and we'd be like "let's take a break" lol.
Xur is boderline useless at this point. No strange coins, time gated exotics. I just don't understand how the developers can ignore one of the more interesting vendors from the original.

Its because the hardcore, no-life types don’t want Xur selling anything that is relevant because then what would those hardcore, no-lifer types have to brag about. Weak egos of little men are the reason Xur has been worthless.

More or less disappointing when you first logged onto D2 and noticed the character creations menus are EXACTLY the same. Pretty much a precursor to the direction D2 was heading😲
