Auryx the First Navigator set upon his god with his sword and his words, and cut Akka to pieces, and took from those pieces the secret of calling upon the Deep. He wrote this secret on a set of tablets, which he called the Tablets of Ruin. And he wore them about his waist.

How did you take (or rather, un-Take) the Blighted Light that Oryx gathered to offer in sacrifice to Akka, and ignite it so that it burned and burned the Darkness? It was barely Light anymore. But you took it. And when you took it, you did not keep it. You set it free.

To make his ship, Oryx scrimshawed one piece of Akka, who was dead but far from gone. He stole the Hammer of Xivu Arath and the Scalpel of Savathûn and he armored his ship in baneful armor.
He died through Sword Logic, like Xol. He can be incapacitated like Xol, but he is never truly gone.
-
Toland told us we didnt face the real xol.
-
Because Xol was weakened and easily killed, due to the lack of tithings. Toland didn’t literally mean it, he just meant that we didn’t face a Worm God at it’s true power.
-
He says "were you tricked by that worm that chased the warmind, beings the hive call gods." Key word tricked. That wasnt the real xol, that was just one of his avatars and we made it into a weapon. We feed the real xol who exists in the nether world.
-
Edited by Combat Mind: 12/5/2018 5:21:51 PMNo, we were tricked into following Xol’s Sword Logic. Read the Whisper of the Worm’s description.
-
I already did. And toland says it plain as day light. We didnt fight the real xol.
-
You know what, even though it’s wrong, I’m going to let you have your opinion. Kinda tired of punching a brick wall.
-
"Were you tricked by the worm that chased the Warmind? Did you truly believe you'd fought one of the beings that the hive call gods? Ha!" - Toland This is Basically saying we didnt kill the real xol. I have spoken with other famed lore masters and they agree with this perspective. It's all perspective.
In dying,Xol fed richly. Now came Xol unto the Taken upon Io, who fed Xol with plunder and tried to make of it an idol and a commanding will. Yet Xol was bound joyously to the very logic that sustained it in its death. It wanted the sword proof, the single proof. It wanted to become a rule which divided the mighty living from the mighty dead. So it whispered the Anthem Anatheme, the temptation to dominate the objective universe with the subjective will. It said, I shall be an engine to make your desire hegemon over your conditions. It said, WIELD ME, AND USE ME TO TEST YOUR FOE. This was its worship. Aiat.

Xol turned his dreadful eye to his priest. “Hear me, o dreadful worm. We will raise an army. We will die and be reborn in your name, feed you the souls of our enemies." "State your claim." "We take Mars."
I’m pretty sure we “killed” the real Xol.

Only thing to do is sit and wait to see what happens. I trust toland more than any worm god and death mean nothing to them.

He is.
-
Then why was oryx feeding him taken light? Why was he pleased? Akka like Xol only became stronger. The dreadnought is Akkas Whisper of the worm.
-
Maybe he has a throne world. But he’s still dead. The feeding part was probably before Akka was killed.
-
"Dead" more like his physical form is dead. Also oryx didnt have the power to take before killing akka. That light was gather and corrupted with the power of the taken. It was made for Akka.
-
Yes he is.
