I just started playing it, and it's way more addicting than I remember.

Nah, it seems like the game refuses me to show the enemy level gap.

It sounds like you hate everything but the story by this post though. I'm about 12 hours in and love pretty much every aspect of this game.

What I try to say is, that the game WAS easy, till the end. For some reason the enemies in the last mission were -blam!-ing strong.
