Nah. It's really not.
There is a vocal minority of people who are actively trying to shoot down anyone who says a word against Bungie, and failing. The majority of people are expecting change with the black armory. If they listen to feedback they've received about xur, about matchmaking, about exotics, about rewarding players for time committed, then yeah people will probably keep playing.
I don't like Activision. But they aren't wrong. Bungie made some good decisions, random rolls, weapon slot changes, new supers. They also made bad decisions. Some of them catastrophically bad. And once more they're back to saying "We're listening" instead of doing something about them. If Black Armory is just more of this same behavior that people rejected and eventually abandoned Bungie because of, no, Destiny is not in a good place. And it could very rapidly lose everything they fought to regain if they don't take a look into what is working, vs what is driving people away.

If you are putting your hopes in Black Armory I suggest you think twice about your expectations. I expect almost all of Year 2 to be the exact same as it is with Forsaken.

Seems like it's their followers coming on here to try pushing the line that Forsaken is great and everything's fine, when in reality it's clear that Forsaken is - predictably for a game that's basically made for streamers and YouTubers - turning out to be a commercial failure. Bungie have two choices, either they dial back the nolife aspect and make it more broadly accessible, or they leave it as it is and bring in surcharges by way of micro transactions or subscriptions for those who want to stick around. But hey, if Forsaken is all that great I guess its fans won't mind paying a little bit more to keep it as it is .... right?

Well bungie already made the game causal friendly at d2 launch. It didn't work. If we compared to players online after 2 months it only was holding onto 500k players(I'm sure there was more at launch). Forsaken was much more successful. Even after 3 month we still have around ~3million player base playing. I still feel that this game is built for causal player and not built for the lazy. I myself only put in ~300 hrs into this game yet I've managed to hit high power lv by simply playing the game and taking advantage of events like Halloween(horror story). I don't raid nor do I play trials. probably should since I'm missing out on content. All I did is complete my dailies and Weekly's. I've even made an attempt to solo shattered thrones but can't get past last boss due to low power(might not beat it until I get over 590 or with a party). Only thing I see wrong is exotic drop rates being too low.
