Just started to play on PC had the same issue. Recently had a problem with another game doing like a green screen strobe effect only when i was in fullscreen. Found a fix for us Nvidia users:
-1. Go to NVIDIA control panel
-2. Select Change Resolution (under display)
-3. Make sure your primary Monitor is selected (the one your games are played on)
-4. Scroll to the bottom and click Use NVIDIA color settings
-5. Click apply
Should do the trick, worked for me.. Cheers

I am writing this May of 2025. I was having this issue with several games where the game would freeze and crash. Only Black ops 3 and Destiny would do this. Your solution fixed it! Thank you from 7 years in the future!
