I'm a hunter main that played a whole bunch of golden gun before I [spoiler][/spoiler]got shadow shot yea I know people are going to say hunter are trash players the should never play the game but ever since d2 came out golden gun (bottom tree) is nowhere as good a d1 golden gun or to say all supers need a buff on all classes. Just to say I also like playing warlock and Titan and I play a lot of all classes so what do you guys think. By all classes I mean hunter warlock and titans

Bottom tree needs to feel less like the first curse. It’s handling needs to be upped. Because it can crit, it’s made harder to handle. Anyone who’s tried to land consecutive shots on separate targets would understand what I’m saying.

Golden gun is one of the few supers that don’t need a buff, it’s a hit scan one shot to non supered guardians, if you give it armor it makes it slightly overpowered. But if it should get a buff, 6 shooter needs to last longer, the fact that 6 shots has the same duration as 3 is really silly.

1 ReplyGOLDEN GUN DOES NOT NEED DAMAGE RESISTANCE DURING THE SUPER. I have been a Goldie main since the D1 Beta, and I strongly think that it does NOT need damage resistance. Only having some during the cast is fine. Make it so three shot Goldie can ohk supers from body shots. Six shooter CAN'T ohk supers, it's the trade off for having 6 shots. Give players the option. Three high damage shots? Or 6 shots for more kills.

3 RepliesI will never understand why people think gg needs a buff. It's the ONLY super In the game that can crossmap people. Its literally instant death if the user sees you, every other super you can run away from or possibly challenge, but if the gg user sees you, unless you have heavy or a God with a sniper, you're going to die(even with heavy honestly, you will trade at best). If it had damage resistance it would be completely impossible to beat because the user can just 180 and insta kill your ass.

If we're giving golden gun armor, like 10-20% reduction in damage only. But that can be achieved with masterwork armor already, so it's sorta moot I would like a damage buff to golden gun though, but with the risk of making nighthawk too powerful, I feel nighthawk should be changed to do 4x damage rather than 6x damage, but buff the base golden gun damage to where 4x nighthawk is on par with the current 6x.... so, a 50% base damage buff. That would also make bottom tree deal nearly as much damage overall as a nighthawk shot, so nighthawk wouldn't be an essential to dealing a huge amount of damage, and instead its utility would lie in the single shot being faster than 3, and the 33% chunk of super on kill Imo GG should also get combustion added to it like you could have in D1, if not on both trees then at least on Six-Shooter

Golden gun needs a buff, but not an armor buff. The armor class of each class is decided by the class's ability to output their damage. Given golden gun is an instant fire in a 100% linear direction with maximum range, there is not practical reason for them to have a defense bonus like there is for another ranged super that has a delay on their attack animation and a range falloff

Nice bias poll there. No period. If GG gets a buff to have armor then hammer of sol and day break become hit scan supers like GG and have no travel time.
