Unfortunately, while I loathe cheating scumbags as much as the next one, this really isn't an important topic or stuff. If there is a way to cheat, and there is no technical way to detect it... people will cheat plain and simple. That's just unfortunately the way it is. I think you are taking this whole video game leaderboard way too seriously.

You say if theres no way to detect. But there is and it is really a criminal act which is happening here. Because in the background theres the real world of money. Rockstar wanting to sell their Product and Destiny to sell their product. And in the competition only one Person shall be the winner not THE ACCOUNT. Fortunatly Bungie and Blizzard have excellent detection and analysis software for exactly that. To prove who is playing in what kind of manner. The software can show you almost everything what is happening with the network traffic. Out of that information you can even see more what is really happening. So if you can check up and see all those violations, its a simple thing to discern between a scumbag and not scumbag. Doing not, is giving those people a handshake and a kiss, to invite them to be part of the honest community of Destiny to play vs Bungies Team at the end of the whole competition. If you dont cry "foul", what then? You and others who say this is not important, really dont understand the importance of Public Relations and the Reputation you will earn as a big developer behind a Game. Having a bad Reputation because of many cheaters in the game will destroy the community and the will to play this game. Not to speak of breaking Competition rules to get on prizes easily, is something which is or is bordering on criminal intent. Whistleblowers f.e. have hard times too when they debunk something. This here is no difference. First you need to see what is behind it, before you say its of no importance. It is important. It involves so much and the worst is to shut your eyes before such.

  • Again you are taking this WAY too seriously. There is no crime present because there is no monetary loss or physical/psychological harm that is occurring. Actually, if you want to be honest, your actions could be taken as potential libel which could be a crime in some areas because you are saying these people are doing it without proof but that is neither here nor there. Neither Bungie nor Rockstar are going to lose any money regardless of who wins or who does not win. By that point they will have their money and be done with it. As far as Bungie is concerned, they have your money and actually you playing more and more is actually costing them money not making them money. Rockstar gets your money every time you make a purchase for a tab. There is nothing monetarily in the actual competition for them short of the loss for running the website and purchasing the prizes. But that being said, those prizes were paid quickly as soon as the promotion started because of the fanboys that went out and bought up the Rockstar drinks. For example, in my area, you cannot even find one of these cans because they sold that fast. Not to mention the secondary (eBay market). I'm not shutting my eyes to anything, I'm simply saying that there is nothing that can be done. The most Bungie or Blizzard could prove is that the accounts in question were logging into different IP addresses in potentially different areas. But I log into my Destiny account in vastly different geographical IP areas as I take a console with me while I travel. That means those same people can just as easily claim they were playing at those other locations and there is literally NOTHING you or anyone else could do to disprove this short of video taping them doing that. And that won't happen. And as far as the competition is concerned, you are talking about how you have so much time played in the game, in this case of this competition, time alone does not get you pushed to the tops of the leaderboards. It's skill and time spent specifically either in Gambit or Crucible (depending upon the week). You could literally spend a million hours in the game and someone who has half or less of the time spent in game could exceed your point total just by simply getting more kills and streaks. That being said, GET OUTSIDE. I'm sorry Guardian, you have ~3000 hours played in the game and the game has been out on console since 09/17/2017 which means it has been out for 412 days. You literally have spent almost 7.25 hours out of the day every day playing this game. That's not healthy at all.
