Why can’t they just nerf the body damage in pvp? Why do all that crazy shit when the problem is you can be one shot in the toe across the map.

Because that’d be a nerf to damage, which players have really shown a consistent backlash against “nerfs” recently. An adjustment to compensate for the increased charge time would be to increase the damage output as well. That way the weapon is still able to deal approximately the same damage per minute.

Additionally I’d agree I’d like to see differentiation between PvP and PvE weapon tuning, however Bungie has rarely attempted such a feat in 5 years, thus the solution I’ve proposed is more in tune with their current way of handling weapon adjustments.
