Idk, frankly I really liked the ATB gauge, and kind of wish that would make a return

It's a bar that fills up during the fight and when it's full you can take your turn.

Kinda, if I recall that was basically everyone's atb gauge condensed into 1

Yeah, my favorite character (gameplay wise) in that game was Nora, because she had all these different attacks to manipulate it. Felt awesome slowing down the enemy, then speeding up myself, and getting 3 turns off before they got one. Ah, that was fun. ^-^
