Doing Spider's glimmer grind on Tangled Shore - but I'm not sure if that matters or I'm just there more often and thus noticing them drop there more frequently because of it.

I'm lvl 39 and have only recieved 2 bows ever I'm gonna go right over an run that grind thanks for the help homie.

There's only like four-five bows. Calamity, Bite, No Turning Back, Wish Ender, raid legendary bow... and that's it. So it seems like you're looking for a Bite, and I think it's just rando. :/
