One thing that seems to make no sense about Spider...
So, it’s common knowledge that the more ether a Fallen consumes, the bigger they get. For example, The Machinist (before she became Scorn) was huge. That meant she got a shitload of ether.
So, flash forward to Spider, and this dude ain’t huge. He’s a chunky monkey!! He blows a fat load twenty times a day in the corner!!
Spider must consume large amounts of ether, yet he is growing OUT instead of UP!
HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?

8 RepliesYou know, I always wondered why the fallen bosses were so much bigger than the rank and file. That explains a lot. But then how do the cabal bosses get so big? And why are humans the only race that, no matter how mighty or meek the character, they’re all about 6-foot even? Lol

This results in some Fallen being starved and becoming Dregs. There simply isn't enough for everyone when the 1% controls 90% of the wealth, I mean ether. Spider doesn't take more than he needs because he doesn't need to be mad swool to maintain order and authority in the rabble that is a House. He pays everyone fairly based on the work they do. Easy ether keeps them coming back.

We do know that he can walk (according to the lore attached to the Scatterhorn cloak), but he chooses not to. Lack of exercise does mess up the metabolism.

Except for his fatness, he's not that much bigger than most Fallen. He sits on his ass all day and his seat is even elevated, so he's likely not getting up much. The rest of them are running around all the time. Of course he's a fatass.
